Rikert Nordic Center, which is actually owned and operated by the wonderful Middlebury College, is located in Ripton, VT just 12 miles east of us. It borders the Green Mountain National Forest and the Robert Frost Homestead offering visitors great terrain and a gorgeous landscape. They are open every day from 8:30am – 4:30pm through the end of March. Here you will find over 50 km of groomed trails for skiers of all ages and abilities. They welcome over 7,500 visitors every year so you can rest assured this is one place to have some serious winter fun. Whether you are looking to do some classic skiing, snowshoeing, or the more recent and popular activity, fat biking, you’ll find it all available here.

The trails go through forests, past sparkling brooks, past old farm fields—it’s just the perfect place to escape and take in all that Mother Nature has to offer. There is a ski school, full service rental shop, and a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy some delicious food and warm drinks by the wood stove.
