Elizabeth Barrett Browning was famous for her poem, “How do I Love Thee.” It continues with “let me count the ways…” That poem comes to mind when we think about how wonderful it is to be living here in beautiful Middlebury, VT! The summer season not only brings endless opportunities to get outdoors but you can undoubtedly find a great summer festival to attend such as the Woodchuck Hard Cider’s Cider Stock Festival.
The Cider Stock Festival is coming up August 20, 2016 and will take place at the Woodchuck Cidery, which is just minutes away from our bed and breakfast. If sipping on a glass of award winning hard cider while perusing amazing food trucks or listening to great live music amongst the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont sounds like a day well spent, this festival is for you. Woodchuck Hard Cider was the top-selling hard cider in the United States in 2011. All of the ciders are made from apples only, with a variety of flavors including pear, raspberry, granny smith, and amber. They handcraft every batch and this year they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary in style with the Cider Stock Festival.
The festival gates will open at 2pm and the music will start at 3pm. The lineup includes Sublime, Dirty Heads, Wild Adriatic, and Villanelles. For mouth watering food you can take your pick from food trucks such as The Sausage Shack, Smokin’ Pete’s BBQ, Open Hearth Pizza and LuLu Ice Cream. Enjoy the swag tent, lawn games, and bring your own blankets and lawn chairs for a day of relaxing. General admission tickets are only $35 and kids 12 and under are free.
We’ve got plenty of space to host you and all of your friends – come for the festival and stay for the weekend. You can book your room directly online and if you need help planning a fantastic Vermont getaway contact us anytime!
