Winter Weekend Events in Vermont

Winter is in full swing and whether or not you welcome the snow and cold weather, it is here to stay for a while so why not enjoy it? When your week is busy we know the weekend can sneak up on you so today we are telling you about some last minute events coming up this weekend that you can check out if you will be looking for some Vermont fun. One is an indoor musical show and the others are outside winter celebrations so pick your favorite and enjoy!

Shelburne Winterfest – Saturday, January 23, 2016

Take a trip over to Shelburne Farms for a host of fun winter activities this weekend. Sleigh rides for the whole family, sledding, live music, crafts, delicious food, and more. This popular annual event will take place from 12-3pm.

Champlain Orchards’ Winter Wassail – Saturday, January 23, 2016

Enjoy a free annual orchard celebration that celebrates all of the best parts of winter wrapped up in one fun event. From 2-5pm you can take part in sleigh/wagon rides by Hammond’s horses, enjoy some great live music, and fill up on mulled cider, warm soup, and fresh bread in the heating hut. They will also have their farm market open 12-6 for any apple shopping you need to do. 


Cracker Unplugged Acoustic Show – Sunday. January 24, 2016

This American alternative rock duo from California will showcase their talents at the Vergennes Opera House. The two artists, David Lowery and Johnny Hickman, have been together for more than 20 years and they bring a hybrid of music that encompasses their love for punk rock, hard rock, blues, folk, and country. They are true collaborators who provide a genuinely enjoyable show. The show starts at 8pm.
