we encourage you to spend some time exploring the Moosalamoo Nature Trails.
National Recreation Area is roughly 16,000 acres of beauty. You will find
more than 70 miles of maintained trails—choices for the beginner walker all the
way up to rugged cliffs for the seasoned hiker. If you are looking for an easy
stroll, we suggest checking out the Robert Frost Interpretive Trail. You will
appreciate finding several of his poems mounted on plaques along the trail and
a peaceful walk that takes you out to the south branch of the Middlebury River.
There are ten different paths in the Spirit in Nature Trails that are ½ to 2
miles long and are open from dawn to dusk all year long.
