You may prefer the Gate House of our romantic country inn in Vermont for your getaway retreat.  It is a Victorian gem, complete with porte-cochere and wraparound porch. The interior is a pastiche of ornate woodwork and stained glass.

Spend the evening next to the fire, or enjoy a game of Scrabble in the parlor. All rooms come with luxurious linens, Internet data ports, and private bath. The Gate House is located on the property a 1/2 block from the Main House on the corner of Stewart Lane and Route 7.
 
A hearty breakfast is included in the rate and consists of your choice of several savory and sweet entrees cooked to order. These are complemented by a cold buffet with a choice of cereal, baked items, yogurts, fresh fruit, and always the Swift House Inn granola.
